Chas Newens Marine is an accredited RYA Training Centre. We operate the following courses from our premises, taking in the sights of the River Thames.

The Level 1 course known as the introductory course is ideal for the total novice that wishes to gain a little experience before progressing to level 2. We are approved to train young people between the ages of 12 and 16 on this course.

The Level 2 course is perfect for beginners and more experienced boaters alike, as it is a widely recognised powerboat qualification, often thought of by many as the 'driving licence' of the water. This is the correct course to qualify for the first stage International Certificate of Competence.

Our hands on teaching takes place on one of our RIBs, with either a 90hp, 125hp or 130hp engine - this provides a safe yet fast teaching environment.
